Licensed Professional Counselor

With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field I bring a direct, laid back approach filled with humor. We can tailor the therapy room to fit your needs and meet you exactly where you are today. I specialize in perfectionism, anxiety and depression disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, substance abuse, and trauma related disorders. Whether you are an overwhelmed parent, working in a high-pressure job, or struggling with past hurts I am here to help.

I particularly enjoy helping individuals who work in high pressure jobs such as the military, first responders, healthcare and mental health workers. It’s a beautiful mashup of high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, and caring for others that drives you to excel at your job. Those skills do not always translate to the personal side of life and you might find yourself struggling with relationships, rest, and your own thoughts about yourself and the world. I get it and I am here to help.

Utilizing a variety of techniques and therapies helps to ensure we are best meeting your needs and goals for therapy. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention which is proven to help reduce anxiety and OCD symptoms as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.  Using an array of modalities that focus on cultural competence, spiritual based care, and LGBTQIA affirming care I am equipped to help you.

I attended the University of West Georgia where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Criminology and minor in Women’s Studies. I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years including community mental health, non-profits, and private practices that took place in Atlanta, metro-Atlanta, and Greenville, SC contributing to a wide knowledge and experience base that has shaped who I am as a therapist.
